A Minimap edit treats the pause menu map and the radar as a single image. You paint on it like any texture, or let Rageon draw it from the Map in a style you choose. The app writes the files; how the minimap looks and behaves in game has not been confirmed yet, so check it on your server. A project has one minimap. Choosing Minimap again reopens it.

Edit the minimap

1

Choose Minimap

In New edit, select Minimap under HUD and click Continue. The dialog tells you how many parts of the pause menu map it holds and the size of the image. Export also writes the radar parts from it.
2

Paint or generate

The stage shows the sheet with the seams between the map parts. Add layers (Layers and tools), or click Generate from the Map to draw it from the game map.

The AI tab is not available on the minimap.

Generate from the Map

Generate from the Map draws the minimap from the Map seen from above, in the style you choose, and puts the result on a new layer on top. It uses the map you generated or downloaded on this computer (Library).
1

Choose a Style

Pick a preset: Satellite, Game map, Light satellite, Flat colors, Monochrome, Atlas, Streets, or Gray, or one of your own. The cards are rendered with the same preview. Modified appears under a card once you change its recipe. Game map is the default.

2

Choose the Region

Whole grid draws everything. Tile draws one tile. Rectangle draws an area you drag on the preview, or type as Corner (px) and Size (px).
3

Set Resolution and Quality

Resolution is pixels per tile: 1× or 2×, 2× by default. Quality is samples per pixel, from 1×1 to 4×4; 3×3 is the default. Each step takes longer: 4×4 costs sixteen times 1×1. The preview always uses 2×2.If the minimap is at a different resolution, the dialog warns that generating moves it to the new one and the existing layers follow.
4

Tune the recipe (optional)

Under Base and satellite, choose Satellite for aerial imagery or Flat for a land-color base. Satellite has Time, Weather, Saturation, Brightness, and Contrast controls. Tune Land, then enable the layers your map needs: Relief, Vegetation, Water, Buildings, Game streets, Roads by class, and Labels.

5

Click Generate

A progress bar shows elapsed time and a remaining-time estimate when available. Cancel requests a stop; Canceling… appears while it finishes stopping. On successful completion, the dialog closes and the new layer appears on top, named after the style and covering the region.

To keep a recipe on this computer, click Save as preset, enter a Preset name, and click Save. Delete removes a selected custom preset after confirmation; its recipe stays on screen until you switch styles.
Saving under an existing custom preset’s name replaces that preset.

Use it in game

Export writes pause menu textures (minimap_sea_*.ytd), radar textures (minimap_*.ytd), and radar replacements (minimap_*.ydd) under stream/. It also adds client.lua, which reapplies radar zoom every ten seconds. Install the resource as described in Export a project.
Other scripts that change radar zoom can conflict with this resource. Check the radar on foot, in vehicles, and after entering or leaving interiors. For single-player installation, use only the .ytd files; the .ydd replacements depend on the FiveM script.

Limits and plans

Generation reads the Map library on your computer, so the Map must be prepared or downloaded first. The extra map folders it can include follow your plan. If a message says the Map on your plan loads only the base game, or only some extra folders, the layers of the rest are not drawn. See rageon.dev/pricing.

Troubleshooting

Prepare the Map first (Generate the map), then open Generate from the Map again.
