Capture renders every model you select to an image, once per camera. Use it to build catalogs, thumbnails, and previews of props, peds, vehicles, clothing, and weapons. To save one image of the model you have open, use Image capture in the Viewer instead.

Cameras, lighting, rendering, and output are shared by every mode. Rageon keeps your settings on this computer, including the last mode you used. A run keeps going if you switch to another tab.

Modes

Pick a mode under Mode on the left.

Choose what to capture

1

Search

Type in Search models…. Names are the technical model names, such as prop_bench_01a or adder, not the names the game shows. A search matches any part of a name. Separate terms with commas to match either one (carbine, pistol). Separate them with spaces to require all of them (police car).
2

Filter

Objects has All types (Common objects, Scenarios, LOD, Other) and a category tree that reads All categories until you pick one. The vehicle modes have All classes. Vehicle mods adds All categories for mod-shop slots, Mannequin has All compatible, and Weapon mods has All slots.

3

Set the source and limit

Click Options. Source shows All assets, Original game assets, or only Mod assets. Limit caps how many results the list offers: 30, 60, 120, 240, 500, 1000, or All. The default is 120.

4

Check the rows

Rows start checked, except in Vehicle mods and Weapon mods, where nothing is checked until you check a vehicle or weapon. Uncheck what you do not want, or use the header checkbox (Select all) to include or exclude every row shown. The footer shows how many are selected and an image estimate.
Press and drag across the checkboxes to check or uncheck many rows at once.
Only what the list shows is offered. A model hidden by a filter or by the limit is not captured, even if you checked it earlier.

List and grid

The list view shows the technical name, type, source format, and size. Size is the size of the source asset, not of the image you will save, and the format badge describes the game file, not the output format. The Grid icon next to the list icon shows each model as a card with its preview.

Vehicle mods and Weapon mods group parts under their owner, so the Grid icon is disabled there.

Original or mod versions

A mod that replaces a game model shows a MOD badge and a replaces … badge. When you select both the original and its replacement, Capture asks which one to use. See When an original and its mod are both selected. Add-on mods that replace nothing never ask.

Format, size, file names, and the run.

Limits and plans

Capture uses the same weekly allowance as image capture in the Viewer. What each plan includes is on rageon.dev/pricing. A batch that does not fit in what you have left is refused before it starts. See Output and running a capture.

Troubleshooting

Nothing in this mode matches. Clear the search, set All types and All categories back to default, or change Source.
Check at least one row, or one group in a grouped mode.
Rageon could not read the model list. Read the reason after the colon, fix it (a game folder that was not scanned, for example), and open the mode again.
