The Output and File names sections in Settings decide what each image looks like on disk and where it goes. They are shared by every mode.

Output settings with PNG, 1:1, 1024, and Skip, plus the destination folder.

Format and size

Output section with WebP, Quality, Custom aspect ratio, Width, and Height

WebP at a custom 1280 × 720.

Use PNG or WebP to keep a transparent background. JPEG does not store transparency. The final image, after Scale, cannot exceed 16 megapixels. Capture stays disabled until you reduce Size, Width, Height, or Scale.
Choose Skip when you plan to run again. Existing images stay untouched and only the missing ones render.

Destination folder

Click the folder icon next to the path (Choose the folder) and pick where the images go. The path appears under Destination folder, and the second folder icon opens it in Explorer. Capture needs a folder.

File names

The Name template under File names builds each file name from text and variables in double braces. The default is {{variant}}_{{model_name}}_{{angle}}. Will generate: below it previews up to three names. Click the edit icon (Edit the name template and see the placeholders) for a larger editor and the full variable list.

The name template editor with the variable reference.

The extension comes from Format, so leave it out. The template is a file name, not a path: it cannot create subfolders. Characters Windows does not allow in file names are replaced, and an unknown variable stays in the name as typed. Each mode adds its own variables, listed on its page: Vehicles, Weapons, and Mannequin. Only the variables that apply to the current mode appear in the editor.
With several cameras, include {{angle}} or {{camera_name}} in the template. Rageon does not check that camera file names are unique, so without a camera variable later images overwrite earlier ones, or are skipped with Skip.

Run a capture

1

Click Capture

Capture is enabled once you have a selection, at least one camera, a destination folder, and a valid size and name template. Mannequin mode also needs a Base ped while Dress the parts on a mannequin is on. The footer shows how many images to expect.
2

Choose versions if asked

If you selected an original and its mod, the Original or mod? dialog opens first. See the next section. Until you decide, the footer shows how many conflicts are pending.
3

Watch the progress

The Capturing dialog lists every image with its model, camera, and state: converting, rendering, saving, or skipped. A bar and a count (… of … images) show how far it is. Failed images show their reason.
4

Read the result

The heading becomes Capture finished with … saved, … failed, and … skipped counts. Click Open folder to see the images. If the run cannot start, for example because the allowance is used up, the heading reads The capture stopped and the reason follows “The capture stopped because of an error:”.
The queue keeps going when you minimize the dialog. Do not change Mode while a capture runs: the progress list is cleared, although the run continues. Use Stop on the tab to stop it. Reopen it with the Capturing… button, or from Tasks under Model capture. The header Close button stops the run, unlike minimize. To stop, click Stop capture in the dialog or Stop on the tab. Images already saved stay, and the heading reads Capture interrupted. There is no resume. Set If it already exists to Skip and run again to render only what is missing. Changing the template or destination changes which files count as existing.

When an original and its mod are both selected

Original or mod? appears when you select a game model and a mod that replaces it. Choose for each entry:
  • Use mod captures the replacement.
  • Use original captures the game version.
  • Ignore captures both.
The For all buttons fill every entry. You can still change entries afterward. Capture in the dialog becomes available once every entry has a choice. All resolved. confirms it. For Ignore, both versions need different file names. Click Cancel and add {{variant}}, {{source}}, or {{assetId}} to the Name template first. Without one, the original and the mod write the same file.

Limits and plans

Capture has a weekly allowance that depends on your plan. See rageon.dev/pricing for what each plan includes. A batch that does not fit in what you have left is refused before any image renders. Make the batch smaller, wait for the renewal date if one is shown, or change plan. A limited allowance is checked online, so a refusal can come from not being connected.

Troubleshooting

Click the folder icon next to Destination folder and pick a folder.
Capture stays disabled until the 3D view is ready. Wait a few seconds.
The final image is over the limit. Lower Size, Width, Height, or Scale.
Lower Size, Width, Height, or Scale. Check the label next to Scale for the final size.
You chose Ignore for an original and its mod. Edit the Name template under File names and add one of the variables.
An image with that name is already in the folder, and If it already exists is Skip. Keep it, or change the name template or destination to render a new one.
The asset has no model to render. Uncheck it.
The model could not be loaded. Uncheck it, or run it again alone.
The piece has no real geometry. Uncheck it.
Another load happened while this image was rendering. Run the affected images again.
Rageon could not save the image. Check that the destination folder exists and that you can write to it, then run again.
Images already saved stay in the folder. Read the reason after the colon, fix it, and run again with Skip selected.
Sign in to your Rageon account, then capture again.
Sign out, sign back in, and capture again.
You reached your weekly allowance. It renews on the date shown. See rageon.dev/pricing.
The batch is bigger than your weekly allowance. Capture fewer models or cameras, or check your plan at rageon.dev/pricing.
Wait the number of seconds shown, then capture again.
Any other text on a failed image names its cause. Fix it, then run again with Skip selected.
