Opening an asset shows a preview and the list of files that belong to it. Supported model, texture, text, and audio files have previews, and the file you select is the one Extract and Render act on (Export files).

1

Open the asset

The heading is the asset’s technical name, such as adder. Files lists its files with their role (Model, Texture, Collision, Metadata, and so on) and size. Rageon selects the primary file.
2

Choose another file

Click a file in Files, for example the .ytd of adder. The preview changes to match: 3D model, Textures, Text, or Audio.

Copy what you need

Copy path on a file or dependency copies its full asset path. The asset name, Asset ID, and Path under Location are copyable too.
Copy path clicked, with Copied in the status bar

Copied appears in the status bar.

Location also shows the containing archive under RPF file, and Replaces the original when the asset is a mod that overrides a game file. External dependencies lists files the asset needs that live elsewhere. They are references only: you cannot preview them from here.

The 3D preview

The preview here is compact. For lighting, shadows, wireframe, and a full-screen stage, click Open in › Viewer (Open in Viewer and Projects). Only .yft, .ydr, and .ydd files get a 3D model tab. It disappears if the model has no visible meshes. If the preview fails, click Try again.
With the pointer over the 3D preview, press F to frame the model and C to switch between orbit and free camera. Camera movement is covered in the Viewer.
A vehicle that only exists in GTA V Enhanced shows No model in this install on a Legacy installation. That is a limit of your game files, not your plan.

Read text

Select a text file in Files and Text shows its contents with line numbers. It opens xml, meta, txt, lua, json, csv, log, ini, cfg, and nametable files. To check a game file such as vehicles.meta, search for it under Metadata.

Files larger than 4 MB show only their start and a truncated at 4 MB badge, and Copy copies only that part. Use Extract to get the whole file. If a text file cannot be read, reopen it or try another related text file.

Play audio

Open an asset from Audio and select its .awc bank. Rageon selects the first playable stream and draws its waveform without playing it. Each row shows the stream’s codec, sample rate, and duration.

Only PCM and ADPCM streams play. Rows with an unsupported codec show codec … not supported, and MIDI rows show MIDI. These rows are unavailable, while the rest of the bank still works. Play and seeking are unavailable while Decoding audio… shows. If a stream fails to decode, choose another playable stream. You cannot save a single stream as WAV from here.

Troubleshooting

The 3D preview produced nothing. Click Try again. If it repeats, select another model in Files.
The file has no geometry to draw. Try another model file, or open its Textures.
The preview could not open. Click Try again. Failed to read the GLB: … is the same.
No stream in this file is PCM or ADPCM, the two codecs the reader decodes. Open another bank.
Open another bank.
Pick an asset in the center panel to inspect its related files. Open a result from the list.
