The App tab of Settings holds the GTA V folder, extra folders, and the language. Click the gear in the title bar to open it. The other tabs are Cache, Bridge, and Account, covered in Your account.
Settings App tab with Language, GTA V folder, Directories, and Licenses

The App tab with a changed folder: the footer says Pending and the button says Save and scan.

Changes apply when you save. Pending in the footer means something is unsaved; Saved means everything is. Close discards unsaved changes without asking, and so does clicking outside the window.

Point Rageon to GTA V

On first launch Rageon reads C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto V and scans it on its own. It does not look for Rockstar or Epic installs. If your game is elsewhere, set it here. For the whole first run, see First setup; for what the game needs, see Requirements.
1

Choose the folder

In GTA V folder, click Choose and pick the folder that contains GTA5.exe, or type the path. The button at the bottom becomes Save and scan.
2

Click Save and scan

The button shows Indexing… and the window closes when the scan ends. The status bar follows the progress and ends with the number of RPFs and assets indexed.
The field cannot be empty when you save.

Add extra folders

Directories lists folders with mods, such as loose .rpf files, models, and textures. Rageon reads them together with the game, and their content wins over the base game.
1

Click Add

Pick one or more folders. Duplicates are ignored.
Directories list with a folder path, a Watch switch, and a remove button

Directories with the Folder and Watch columns.

2

Turn on Watch if you want it

With Watch on, Rageon rescans when files in that folder change and shows Sources changed, rescanning… in the status bar.
3

Click Save and scan

Rageon indexes the new folders.
Removing a folder with the X only takes it off the list; nothing is deleted from disk.
Only a changed path triggers a new scan. Switching Watch alone turns the watching on or off without rescanning, even though the button reads Save and scan.

Change the language

Language offers English (US), Português (Brasil), and Español. Without a saved choice the app uses English.
1

Open Language and choose one

Language list with English (US), Português (Brasil), and Español

The three languages.

2

Click Save and reload

The footer button changes to Save and reload. The window reloads in the new language. If you also changed a folder setting, the button keeps reading Save and scan and the window still reloads in the new language when you save.

Licenses

Licenses credits the open-source toolkit Rageon uses to read the game’s archives and opens the MIT license text.

Troubleshooting

The status bar shows this in red when the scan fails. Check GTA V folder in Settings › App: it must point to the folder that contains GTA5.exe. Then click Save and scan.
