# Weapons

> Swap components, finishes, camos, and variants on a weapon.

Open **Weapons**, search for `carbinerifle`, and choose a result. The row's displayed name can differ from the spawn name: the carbine rifle appears as `w_ar_carbinerifle`. The weapon loads with its factory components and tint 0. Component names come from your installed game or mod content.

## Customize

**1. Change components**

Open **Magazine**, **Scope**, **Suppressor**, **Flashlight/Laser**, **Grip**, **Stock**, **Barrel**, or **Upgrade** and choose an option. Only the attachment points this weapon has appear. Choose the original component again to restore it. **Stock** or **None** clears the attachment.

A medium scope attached.

**2. Change the finish**

Under **Finish**, choose a **Tint**. Most weapons offer **Normal**, **Green**, **Gold**, **Pink**, **Army**, **LSPD**, **Orange**, and **Platinum**. Others list **Original**, **Livery 1**, **Livery 2**, and so on.

Gold tint applied.

**3. Apply a camo**

Choose a weapon that offers **Camo**, such as the Mk II carbine rifle (search `carbinerifle`). Under **Camo**, choose a **Pattern**; **None** removes it.

Mk II carbine rifle with camo3.

**4. Choose a variant**

Choose a weapon that offers **Variant**, such as the pistol (search `pistol`; it appears as `w_pi_pistol`). **Variant** applies a whole-weapon appearance, such as Luxe. **None** removes it. A variant can force its own tint, which disables **Tint** until you remove the variant.

## Versions and detail

If your game files hold several copies of a weapon, **Version** switches between the current one and older ones. **Detail** offers **Standard** and **High** where a high-detail model exists.

Version lists only the copies the current search, **Source**, and **Limit** reach. If an expected copy is missing, set **Source** to **All**, clear the search, and increase **Limit**.

## Troubleshooting

> **No weapons.meta describes this model — no components or finishes; only the base model is shown.**
>
> The weapon has no customization data. View the base model or choose another weapon.
