# Sign in

> Sign in through your browser, free a device when your plan is full, and keep working offline for up to 7 days.

Rageon has no email or password form. You sign in on the website, in your default browser, and the app picks the session up from there. Without a session the window shows only the sign-in screen and the window controls: no tabs, no **Tasks**, no status bar, and **Ctrl+P** does nothing.

A new account is created on the website when you sign in for the first time.

## Sign in

**1. Click Sign in**

Your default browser opens `rageon.dev/connect`.

**2. Authorize this computer**

Sign in on the website, or continue if you already are, and authorize this computer. The app reads **Waiting for the authorization in your browser…** until the website sends you back. If you closed the tab, click **Open the website again**.

**3. Use the app**

When the authorization arrives, the app opens with its tabs, **Tasks**, **Settings**, your [account chip](/account/overview.md), and the status bar. If your plan has no free device left, **Device limit** opens first.

The sign-in screen comes back when you click **Sign out** in **Settings** › **Account**, or when the offline period runs out.

## Device limit

Your plan limits how many computers can sign in. When this computer is not one of them and every place is taken, **Device limit** lists the computers that use them, each with its name, system, and last use.

**1. Click Manage on the website**

Free one of the listed computers in `rageon.dev/account/devices`. The app cannot free a device for you.

**2. Click Try again**

Rageon checks again and registers this computer.

## Working offline

Losing the network changes nothing at first. Once the session expires without a connection, Rageon keeps opening for up to 7 days from the last online check. The status bar shows an orange **Offline; session valid for … more day(s)** next to the normal status, and **Offline; session valid for less than a day** in the last 24 hours.

Everything that asks the server still needs a connection: weekly export and capture quotas, AI generation, and an up-to-date credit balance. After the 7 days the sign-in screen returns. Connect, open the app, and sign in to renew.

## Troubleshooting

> **This authorization doesn't belong to the latest sign-in. Click Sign in again.**
>
> You came back from an older sign-in tab, from another computer, or after reopening the app. Click **Sign in** and use only the tab that opens now.

> Back on the sign-in screen after you were using the app: you clicked **Sign out**, the offline period ended, or the Windows clock is set earlier than the last check. Fix the date if it is wrong, then sign in.
